Introduction:

The Inland Capability Interrogation reply should be used by an application connected to the Inland AIS unit to reply (using Message 6) to an Inland Capability Interrogation (DAC 200, FI 2) function message.. The reply contains the availability status of the application for each function identifier in the Inland AIS ASM branch (DAC 200) or other DAC. An Inland AIS station answers to an interrogation by ITU 1371 IFM 3 using IFM 4.
