Home > Forward to Vessel Position Information Server (VPI)

Introduction/Additional information:

This test ASM was developed within the CoRISMa project to support the so called Vessel Position Information (VPI) services which was tested at those times.

Germany implemented this VPI ASM on some of the test ships to demonstrate data provision to third parties with the direct consensus of the skipper on board the vessel.

This VPI ASM gave the allowing (yes/no) to provide AIS data to an external server for the VPI service.

This VPI ASM never made it beyond the trial phase. So it was never included in our Inland ASM inventory. For the time being there is no intention of Germany to do so.

I didn’t know that a ship operating in the Nederland would send out this ASM. So I didn’t connect the

It is send out by some old Radarpilot systems between Rotterdam and German inland ports.
